What is Camp Lemma?

Camp Lemma is a one-week summer day program for rising 4th-9th graders who love math. Our campers learn, create, and play in a mathematically-rich environment, surrounded by like-minded peers, and guided by our expert staff.

Our Curriculum

Our activities allow students to explore a variety of mathematical topics outside the standard middle school and high school curriculum.  From polytopes, to secret codes, to probability paradoxes, we try to give students a sense of the variety of ideas that fall under the broad umbrella of “mathematics.”

Our 2023 Summer Program

This summer Camp Lemma will run two one-week, vaccine-required programs. Our first session, the week of June 19th-23rd, is geared toward rising 4th-6th graders.  Our second session, the week of June 26th-30th, is geared toward rising 7th-9th graders.

Camp will be held in the Proof School building at 973 Mission Street in San Francisco. Camp hours are 9:30am to 3:30pm. Students should bring a lunch, and will have access to a refrigerator and microwave.

COVID Safety

Camp Lemma is committed to running a safe and joyful in-person program this summer. Campers will be required to take a rapid antigen test the Sunday before their session begins.  This year’s program will be mask-optional.  We ask that campers who are exhibiting cold and flu symptoms stay home and contact the program to discuss prorated tuition.
